Final Dissertation & Degree Exam

To graduate, students must prepare and publicly defend an original research dissertation conducted entirely in English. They must demonstrate their ability to conduct independent research, apply proper methodologies, and develop a rigorous, coherent argument.

Key Requirements

To successfully complete the dissertation, students must:

  • Formulate a clear, focused research question.
  • Select and critically analyse relevant literature and primary sources.
  • Organise arguments in a cogent and structured manner.

Evaluation Criteria

The graduation board will award 16 credits for the final assessment, evaluating both the written thesis and the oral defense based on:

  • Quality of the written work.
  • Soundness of the research methodology.
  • Critical thinking and intellectual maturity.
  • Clarity of exposition and communication skills.
